Almost 11,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with a brain tumour each year. Having been diagnosed with one myself several years ago, Nickie is fully aware of the effects.
Whilst brain tumours are quite rare, it is important to recognise the signs.
Symptoms can include:
- headaches
- seizures (fits)
- persistently feeling sick (nausea)
- being sick (vomiting)
- drowsiness mental or behavioural changes
If you’re concerned that you have symptoms, please book an appointment to see your doctor. It’s better to be safe than sorry. If your symptoms are limited to changes in vision and/or headaches, get your eyes tested by an optician before seeing your GP.
The Brain Tumour Charity has incredible resources to help you find out more and learn the symptoms. If you’re worried, visit their website and see more.
