Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, welcomed the opportunity to discuss local and national affairs with a class of A-level politics students at David Game College.
The college is home to a number of international students including those who have fled war, conflict and persecution, so Nickie was pleased to share her journey into politics and her story as the first female MP for the Two Cities, the area she is so proud to call home.
Nickie also heard their stories and learnt about some of their most pressing issues before ending the session with a dynamic Q&A covering topics such as immigration, defence, the economy and how we can support the most vulnerable in our society.
Nickie is always keen to hear from the next generation. If you're a teacher in one of our fantastic local schools, please get in touch. Nickie would be delighted to come in and speak with your class.
