Two Cities MP, Nickie Aiken, had the privilege to meet Jane Fisher, Director of Antenatal Results and Choices, on Baby Loss Awareness Week.
Antenatal Results and Choices is a national charity based in the Two Cities helping expectant and bereaved parents, and healthcare professionals through antenatal screening and diagnosis.
Every year, over 20,000 expectant parents are told that their baby may have a genetic or structural condition. This amazing charity supports parents in making decisions before, during and after antenatal tests.
Nickie also heard from Jane about their work to train healthcare professionals to ensure they provide the highest possible standards of care to every patient.
It is a very worrying time when told your baby has a fetal anomaly, and it’s a time when advice and support is critical. The charity has a national hotline on 020 7713 7486, open Monday to Friday 10:00-5:30pm and staffed by trained professionals. No one is alone. Speak to professionals for impartial support and advice.
