Nickie Aiken, MP for the Cities of London & Westminster kicked off #IndieBookshopWeek by visiting Belgravia Books, in Eccleston Street, Belgravia to see the excellent range of books they have on offer.
This week, more than any other, Nickie is encouraging local people in the Two Cities to visit their independent bookshop. Let Nickie know @TwoCitiesNickie where your favourite bookshop is!

"- It's Independent Bookshop Week, this week from the 19th. And I'm in an independent bookshop, here, Belgravia Books, in Eccleston Street in Belgravia. And I'm with Andy who runs the shop. You can see he's got an amazing array of books of all types of genres."
"I know that independent book shops like this have had a really tough time during COVID. Yes, they've done brilliantly online, but now they're back and open, and books stores like this in Central London, rely on workers and international visitors, as well as locals. And we all know that workers and the visitors are not here at the moment."
"So, it's up to us to support these brilliant bookshops because if we don't, they won't be here. So this week, of all weeks, please do pop into your local independent bookshop and support them."
