As we marked Remembrance Week, Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, reflected on the many servicemen and women who sacrificed their today for our tomorrow.
During the week, Nickie planted her memorial cross at St Paul's Cathedral and also in the Constituency Garden of Remembrance at Parliament to honour all those from the Cities of London & Westminster who have served not only during the First and Second World Wars, but all conflicts.
Nickie also joined Great Western Railway for a remembrance service at Paddington Station, where she contributed to a display of remembrance for the communities served by their train network alongside representatives of the Royal British Legion, the British Transport Police, Network Rail and London Underground.
On Remembrance Sunday, Nickie was honoured to represent people from across the Two Cities at the Westminster Abbey service, and later at the Memorial Cross at Lancaster Gate where she laid a wreath.
