MP for the Cities of London & Westminster, Nickie Aiken, spoke out to increase awareness of the menopause during the menopause debate in Westminster Hall.
The menopause is rightly receiving so much attention both in Parliament and in the media. Women must be supported and secure the help, support and information they need during this life change.
Nickie is proud to be a vice chair of the APPG on menopause and last week, joined with cross-party colleagues to continue to speak out on the menopause and to raise awareness.
During the debate, Nickie was pleased to hear how the Government is progressing in overcoming supply difficulties of HRT. It's a crucial medication for so many women going through the menopause, and really does make a difference. Nickie also championed Pausitivity’s #KnowYourMenopause campaign. Its leaflets are a signpost for women and highlight the symptoms, so that they can go back to their GPs and demand support and help. If you don't already know, learn the symptoms here.
