MP for the Cities of London & Westminster, Nickie Aiken, has welcomed the new Beating Crime Plan.
The Government are refocusing on their core mission to cut crime and make neighbourhoods safer.
This week, they've launched a package of measures which will do just that. At the crux of the plan is more police on our streets, and more powers for them so they can do their job.
Nickie will do everything she can to make sure the Two Cities get their fair share of new officers.
Welcoming the Plan, Nickie said,
"Today, the government has launched its Beating Crime Plan. There's plenty of information about where we're going to focus, particularly on burglary and on theft.
"We are halfway through recruiting the 20,000 extra police officers that was promised at the last election. For me, online crime is a growing issue. And I know it's about a third of crimes now committed are online.
"I've been to visit the City of London Police who are the National Lead for Fraud and today I've been to see the National Cybersecurity Centre. And I think it's really important that we all do our bit to protect ourselves, whether it's on the street, in our cars, in our homes, or online.
