Nickie Aiken, MP for the Cities of London & Westminster, today echoed the thoughts of the nation in wishing the NHS a happy 73rd birthday.
With the most exhaustive of years since its inception, the NHS has come through a tumultuous period over the 16 months and emerges even more loved than it was before.
To mark the special birthday, Nickie said,
"Today, the 5th of July is the 73rd birthday of our beloved NHS. And on behalf of everyone in the Two Cities, I want to wish everyone who works in the NHS a very happy birthday and a deeply grateful thank you for everything you do for us. In the last 15, 16 months, we have seen more than ever the NHS stepping up to support us and help us all during this really difficult time during the pandemic. So I hope that everybody can join me in wishing everybody in the NHS, a very happy birthday."
