The Mayor of London is pushing ahead with his plans to cut our hospital bus route, the 211, from Westminster, and stopping route 11, which has served both of our Two Cities since 1906, from entering the City of London.
Sign Nickie's petition below to save these vital routes.
Route 211 is our hospital bus route. It serves our Pimlico, St James’s, and Victoria neighbourhoods, and ensures a straightforward journey to Charing Cross, Chelsea & Westminster, Royal Brompton, Royal Marsden, and St Thomas’ hospitals. So many people rely on it, but the Mayor is ploughing ahead with his plan to cut out Westminster from this critical route.
Route 11, another route so many of you have told Nickie is so important to you, also faces the axe from the City of London. We cannot allow the Mayor to do this.
The Mayor has the funding, receiving over £6 billion of support from the Government throughout the pandemic. It is his choice to cut our buses.
Following Nickie’s local campaign and working with neighbouring MPs Greg Hands, Member of Parliament for Chelsea and Fulham, and Felicity Buchan, Member of Parliament for Kensington, as well as London Assembly Member for West Central, Tony Devenish, more than 10,000 people had their say, signed their petitions and voiced their opposition, and forced the Mayor to cancel almost all of his planned bus cuts from the summer. But Nickie needs your support again to save bus routes 11 and 211.
