MP for the Cities of London & Westminster, Nickie Aiken, was delighted to sit down with the School Council at St Matthew's Primary School in Westminster.
The children did not shy away from asking their questions and Nickie enjoyed listening to their fascinating ideas on how we can solve some of the most important issues, including supporting rough sleepers and tackling plastic waste.
Following the visit, Nickie commented,
It is crucial to engage with even the youngest in our society and ensure their voices are heard. The School Council had a real interest in politics and I hope I provided a useful insight into the role of an MP!
