With the Government's drive to reduce the cost of childcare for parents, Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London and Westminster, visited a local London Early Years Foundation Nurseries in Marsham Street to learn more about what the latest plans to improve the cost, choice and availability of childcare will mean for them.
Nickie joined the nursery on its 'graduation day' and took part in celebrations for all the children moving on to primary school in September. The children certainly seemed to be having a brilliant day!
There was also an opportunity for Nickie to speak to Merita Selaci, the Nursery Manager, and Samantha Creme, Director of Strategy & Business Development. Nickie found their insight essential to understand how we can best support parents and nurseries across the country and will be taking their ideas directly to Government.
With the increasing cost of living, Government support is available. You could be eligible for tax credits, tax-free childcare, or 15-30 hours of free childcare. Find out more on the Childcare Choices website and see what support you could get.
