Two Cities MP, Nickie Aiken, welcomed Therèse Coffey MP to the Two Cities on her first visit as the new Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.
The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care was shown around our local Pimlico Health @ The Marven and spoke to Senior Partner, Dr Sheila Neogi, who is championing the community health programme in Pimlico.
Dr Jan Maniera, Clinical Director for South Westminster Primary Care Network and GP at the Millbank Medical Centre was also on hand to share her ideas on how we can improve primary care and access to treatment and care for everyone.
Last week, the Government set out its bold Plan for Patients to make it easier for all of us to get the NHS and care services we need. The Plan will improve access to GP practices, recruit additional support staff, give pharmacies powers to prescribe more medicines and introduce cloud-based telephone systems to GP practices.
