Two Cities MP, Nickie Aiken, had a fantastic morning at Ben Venuti, a café and deli in Pimlico, with Employment Minister, Guy Opperman MP.
Jobs in the hospitality sector are critical for the Two Cities, and the Government has launched its new hospitality pilot scheme to support the hospitality sector.
Backed by industry experts, the scheme offers tailored training for job seekers, allowing them to move into an exciting career in hospitality and ensuring our fantastic retail, hospitality and catering industries have the people they need on an ongoing basis so that they can thrive.
Nickie explained,
"I'm here with Guy Opperman who is the Employment Minister. I brought him to Pimlico this morning to Ben Venuti, a brilliant deli and café because the Government has announced its new hospitality pilot scheme. Guy, what's it about?
Minister for Employment, Guy Opperman MP, said,
"Amazing to be here. Fantastic coffee, strongly recommended. What we're trying to do is we’re trying to support hospitality, restaurants, pubs, small organisations with training schemes so we get jobseekers into particular locations like this and we genuinely want to try and make sure that hospitality, catering, and retail have the people they need on an ongoing basis so that the businesses locally here thrive."
