Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, Nickie Aiken, paid tribute to the thousands of foster carers across the Two Cities and country for their critical work in giving children the best start in life.
Thanking foster carers, Nickie exclaimed,
"It's Foster Care Fortnight, and I want to take this opportunity to thank all the amazing foster carers across the Two Cities and up and down the country for your brilliant work. Thank you so much. Every child deserves the best start in life and sometimes their own families can't help them. So you foster carers give that special support to a child at their most lowest point, in trauma and in difficult times.
"So please, if anybody else out there is interested in giving a child the support they need, and becoming a foster carer, look at the links below this video. It doesn't matter what your circumstances are. Whether you are single, whether you're young, old, gay, straight. It doesn't matter. If you've got the space in your heart and the space in your home to give a child the support they need, then please get in touch."
