Cities of London & Westminster MP, Nickie Aiken, was delighted to catch up with Rabbi Shalom Morris to discuss the planning consultation surrounding the Bevis Marks synagogue.
Despite being a grade-1 listed synagogue and the oldest in continuous use in the UK, its historical character has been threatened by a proposed high-rise development adjacent to the building.
Nickie encourages everyone to respond to the City of London’s consultation which would make Bevis Marks part of the Creechurch Conservation Area. Option 3 offers full protection to Bevis Marks and other surrounding historic sites. Respond to the consultation.
