Nickie Aiken had a wonderful visit to Regent’s Park with Park Manager Nick Biddle and local Councillor Robert Rigby.
During their walkabout, Nickie visited the Queen Mary’s Rose Gardens and heard more about preparations for the new memorial garden for the late Queen Elizabeth II later this year.
Nickie was also shown the park’s sports hub, The Hub, a fantastic development offering grass pitches for football, rugby and lacrosse over winter and cricket, softball, rounders and touch rugby in summer. The Park is doing its bit for our neighbourhoods, ensuring local schools and clubs have access and priority to the pitches. And, Nickie was pleased to learn that after the Lionesses' success at the Women’s Euros, they’ve seen a significant increase in female football clubs using their facilities!
