On World Book Day, Two Cities MP, Nickie Aiken, was delighted to join in the celebrations at St Barnabas' Primary School.
Nickie commented,
"It's World Book Day, and I've been celebrating with the staff and pupils of St Barnabas’ Church of England Primary in the Two Cities. We had a fantastic assembly. All the pupils were dressed up in their favourite characters and I was delighted to be able to hand out book tokens for winners in each year for the best costume. I want to thank World Book Day and the Publishers Association for providing the book tokens that I've distributed to schools across Westminster and the City of London.
"World Book Day is the most amazing day where we encourage and embrace reading. You're never too old to start reading for enjoyment, whether it's fiction, non-fiction, whatever the subject. It's so important that we encourage our children to read and we can all enjoy it together."
