For a number of years, Two Cities MP, Nickie Aiken, has stood by local people living in the Barbican, vehemently opposed to the proposed plans for the redevelopment of Bastion House on London Wall West.
Local people have felt the City of London Corporation have not listened to their genuine concerns, and that their views were not at the forefront of the planning process.
So Nickie is pleased that following her conversations with the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing, and Communities, Michael Gove MP, he will now consider calling the application in.
Whilst the City of London's planning committee approved the development, the process has paused. Nickie will continue to work with local people and the Barbican Action Quarter to ensure their views are heard.
