MP for the Cities of London & Westminster, Nickie Aiken, presented her Marylebone Station Clean Air Petition at Downing Street along with members of the Marylebone Society and ward Councillor Barbara Arzymanow.
Nickie would like to thank the hundreds of people who signed, and made their voice heard! She believes it is so important to improve air quality around Marylebone Station.
Speaking at Downing Street, Nickie said,
"I'm outside Number 10, about to present my petition that I have been working with members of the Marylebone Society and Councillor Barbara Arzymanow to persuade the government to ensure that Marylebone Station becomes a non diesel train station. It's the only station in London left for only diesel trains.
"So hundreds of people have signed the petition. It was presented in Parliament on Monday and now we are at Number 10. It is so important that we improve air quality around Marylebone Station."
